11th Annual Jewish Music & Cultural Festival Tuesday, September 07, 2010, 2:07 PM A great opportunity to come together sharing Jewish music, culture, food and traditions!

The Jewish Music & Cultural Festival includes Jewish music of all types at the festival. Ladino (the music of the Spanish-speaking Jews) reflects the Iberian culture in tone. The chanted melodies of the synagogue as well as the melodies of the Yiddish theater of the 20’s and 30’s along with contemporary Jewish music can also be heard at the festival.

Kosher food may be purchased at the festival: Hot Dogs, Mid-Eastern delicacies like humus and pita, as well as fruit smoothies. Vendors of all types will have exotic and desirable items for sale. Children will enjoy various special programs including storytelling, face painting, all-day crafts and games.

Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool will be closed to automobile traffic so inline skaters, joggers, walkers and bicyclists can enjoy this two mile section of historic Onondaga Lake Park. To access the eight week Parkway Sunday series, take Lake Drive or Willow Street in Liverpool to the Salt Museum/Wegmans Landing parking area. Old Liverpool Road will remain open as an alternate route to the park.
